Fundraising Partners

Teamsport

TeamSport, Europe’s number one operator of indoor go-kart tracks, is working with Race2Recovery in their fundraising for Help 4 Heroes project Tedworth House.

TeamSport will be pledging a percentage of every event booked at their Tower Bridge venue for the next 12 months and they will be running a series of fundraising events through the year. In addition, all TeamSport visitors will be encouraged to donate too when finalising their booking at the track and via a special digital marketing campaign.

Although a special ‘buy one, get one free’ discount already applies for serving service personnel across all its tracks, TeamSport will also be extending this to include registered veterans too, meaning those who have been medically discharged can also take advantage. Special adaptive controls can be pre-booked for disabled drivers.*

TeamSport company director Dominic Gaynor, commented: “We are thrilled and honoured to be able to partner with Race2Recovery, not only because of the amazing forces charities it is helping – but also because we are quite in awe of its unbelievable motorsport endeavours.”

The TeamSport Tower Bridge venue has state-of-the-art facilities including precision electronic timing systems, a large spectator area overlooking pits and track, briefing rooms, and changing areas fully equipped with showers. Drivers and their ‘crews’ can also refuel in the fully licensed track-side bar and kitchen, with its traditional stone baked pizzas and wider menu.

ALRC Nationals

The Association of Land Rover Clubs started holding a national competitive event for Land Rover enthusiasts in 1955. The 2012 event on 1st – 5th June at Belvoir Castle will be the 56th ALRC national rally.

It is expected that this central location will attract visitors and competitors from all 39 UK clubs plus the many overseas organisations. The event features a very high standard of competition with typically 120 entries per event per day. If you are looking for some high octane off road motorsport, this event will satisfy all tastes.

Once you have had your fill of action, visit the 20 acre arena and trade stand field where, as well as bar, food hall, parts, tools and plenty of auto jumble we have demonstration events.

This weekend is jointly hosted by two of the oldest clubs in the ALRC: Peak and Dukeries Land Rover club and Lincolnshire Land Rover club. Both clubs have over 20 years experience and have hosted the national event several times.

The ALRC 2012 is proudly supporting Race2Recovery and they are asking participants to support the team by making a donation when they enter online. This is great way for everyone to show their support to the worthwhile cause that is supported by Race2Recovery and should be close to all our hearts.

The full amount of all donations made will be passed to the charity and Race2Recovery hope to receive a cheque representing the online donations at the event.

Please make a donation along with your booking, every pound will make a difference to an injured serviceman or woman and their families.
