Race2Recovery are proud to be entering the Celebrity Karting Challenge at the Autosport International Show, NEC Birmingham, 12-15 January 2012.
This year the Karting Challenge will be raising funds to support our 3 chosen charities, Help4Heroes, The Royal British Legion and Combat Stress.
The challenge will take the form of 2 races:
Race 1 is a 30 endurance race on specially adapted karts for injured servicemen and women.
Race 2 is the celebrity race, it will have 20 teams of six drivers (4 celebrity and 2 general public) in a 1.5hr endurance competition. Positions on the grid will be decided by qualifying in which the public drivers will post times. The celebrity drivers will come from all over the motorsport world to take part in this fantastic event. The public drivers will pay to enter, the entry fee is £300, this also includes 2 trade entry tickets to the Autosport International Show.
